I would guess this place seats 1600 and 1000 are here for the rehersal. Yes, i do this for fun. I love guessing prices, revenues, expenses, factoring in errors. At $16,500 in ticket sales figuring some people bought online, but not many, this rehersal is bringing some cash in. But the added expense of security and staff for this event may take 60% of that. Perhaps the paid rehersals are done to keep the young poor enthusiasts apart from the wealthy who expect a certain atmosphere which allows for seats to be sold for 5 times more. Segment the markeT And charge different prices. If you are here for the music, get a CD. People come to watch the people that play, thei conductor's movements. Bragging right, feelings of accomplishment during their time in NYC.

Just sitting with a pen and paper listening to the symphony made mw think abot things I had heard regarding the increased lifespan of conductors and explanations, pole acrobatics, then visualizing that made me think of one of the few episodes of the George Lopez show with a guest star and a pole and how they collapse.
